Our Belief:
As followers of Christ, we believe we are all called to be Fishers of Men, to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ as laid out in His Great Commission. Members of Fishers of Men for Jesus believe that by living our daily lives honoring the Holy Spirit, spreading the Gospel, and spending time ministering with men in our communities, God will reveal Himself through them and touch the hearts of the men we are in contact with. We acknowledge the risen Christ as the ultimate example of God's grace, a gift freely given to all. We look to the Word of God in scriptures and to the presence and power of the Holy Spirit to prosper its redemptive work in the world. We strive to be an organization of God aligned men in a way that calls each of us to active discipleship. Our purpose is to work for the increase in the love of God and neighbor through worship, caring, sharing and outreach.
Friendship, Discipleship, and Community Outreach:
Fishers of Men is an organization of Christian men, who are interested in experiencing the renewing of life that comes through establishing an intimate relationship with God. Fishers of Men for Jesus work to increase the quality of family lives by providing and maintaining a network of gifted speakers, teachers, and service oriented men who keep our ministry aligned in God's Word. Fishers of Men for Jesus strive to become a part of the bodies of communities nationally, by functioning in that body by strengthening men through the study and application of the Word of God.
Friendship:
Fishers of Men for Jesus meet in an environment created by Christian men to be comfortable, interesting, and relevant to men. Our organization provides an atmosphere where men can self-examine internally to get an understanding of what true friendship is, as God commands.
Discipleship:
Fishers of Men for Jesus uses gifted Christian men and speakers from various churches to share God's word to groups of men. By uniting these Christian leaders, with our membership, Fishers of Men has created an exciting and dynamic ministry for men, dedicated to increasing faith through the study of Our Lord and Saviors Word.
Community:
